Three baseball teams from the BCIAA qualified for the state playoffs and all three won their first round matchups. Gov. Mifflin defeated Perkiomen Valley 6-1 in Class 6A. Fleetwood knocked off District 12 champion Archbishop Ryan 3-1 in Class 4A. Berks Catholic shut out Hughesville 1-0 in Class 3A. The (26-1) Mustangs, (16-7) Tigers, and (19-7) Saints have advanced to the PIAA quarterfinals on Thursday. The sites and times for those games have been set.
Gov. Mifflin faces District 11 runner-up Liberty at 11am at DeSales University in Center Valley.
Fleetwood takes on District 4 champ Montoursville at 11am at Central Columbia High School in Bloomsburg.
Berks Catholic meets District 11 champion Notre Dame Green Pond at 4pm at Methacton High School in Eagleville.
The state semifinals will take place on Monday, June 9th.
