#5 seed Wilson lost a defensive battle at #2 Harrisburg 14-10 in the District 3-6A championship. Freshman QB Shawn Lee gave the (12-1) Cougars the lead on a 7-yard TD run with 9:24 left. Jadyn Jones ended his Wilson career with 100 yards and a TD. Both teams were held under 220 total yards. The Bulldogs finish (9-4) after a (2-3) start.
#1 seed Wyomissing rolled over #2 Boiling Springs 55-14 in the District 3-3A championship. It’s the tenth District title for the Spartans and their third in a row. Wyomissing is (13-0). The Spartans will face Scranton Prep in the state quarterfinals.
#1 Gov. Mifflin beat #4 Spring Grove 38-13 in the District 3-5A semifinals. The (10-0) Mustangs rumbled for 430 yards on the ground. PSU commit Nick Singleton had 187 yards and 3TD.
#7 seed Exeter won at #6 Cedar Cliff 42-35 in the District 3-5A semifinals. Eric Nangle erupted for 332 yards and 5TD on 28 carries. He also had an 83-yard TD catch. The (9-3) Eagles piled up 639 yards! They’ve reached the District 3 Final for the first time.
#4 seed Berks Catholic fell at #1 Bishop McDevitt 35-7 in the District 3-4A semifinals. The Saints close out the season at (7-5). The Crusaders are (10-1) and looking for their 15th District 3 championship.
