#5 seed Wilson lost at #4 Cumberland Valley 20-14 in the District 3-6A quarterfinals. The (7-4) Eagles outgained the (7-4) Bulldogs 145-35 on the ground. Bryce Staretz ran for 138 yards and 2TD on 33 carries. Cumberland Valley is now (10-6) all-time versus Wilson.
#2 seed Twin Valley blew out #7 ELCO 35-7 in the District 3-4A quarterfinals. ELCO finishes (8-4). They were outscored 28-0 in the opening half. Twin Valley piled up 309 yards in the first two quarters. The (10-1) Raiders will host #3 Manheim Central in the semifinals on Friday night.
#1 seed Wyomissing shutout #4 Schuylkill Valley in the District 3-3A semifinals at Bob Wolfrum Field. The (9-3) Panthers set a school record for wins in a single season. They reached the District 3 semi’s for just the second time. The (10-1) Spartans are home next Saturday at 1pm against #3 West Perry. Wyomissing is seeking its fifth consecutive title.
