Trey Freeman has had a lot of big games in his career. The 5’7, 160-pound senior finished with ten catches for 189 yards and a TD against Executive Education Academy last month. Freeman ended the regular season with six catches for 123 yards and a TD at Gettysburg. I asked the four-year starter about the most memorable game of his career. Hint, it took place this season and the Raiders came out on top in a thriller! Freeman has the most receiving yards in Berks County history with 2,216. He told me that he couldn’t have broke the record without his teammates. Freeman is second in the county this season in receptions (51) and TD catches (8). He said quarterback Evan Myers certainly doesn’t play like a typical freshman. Evan’s father, Brett, won 73 games over eight years as the head coach at Middletown. This is Twin Valley’s first winning season since 2007! Freeman explained what has made the difference this year. The (6-4) Raiders invade #4 seed Spring Grove on Friday in the opening round of the District 3-5A playoffs. Freeman likes being in the underdog role.
Much appreciated Paul for giving these underdogs a spotlight! GO RAIDERS!!
