The top three teams in my poll remain the same this week. Conrad Weiser and Wyomissing traded places. Fleetwood jumped into my rankings for the first time this year. Boyertown slipped one spot, while Gov. Mifflin fell out after its third straight loss.
Twin Valley travels to Manheim Central on Friday. The Barons are (2-1) under new head coach Matt Heiser. He spent the previous 14 seasons at Gettysburg. Isaiah Oxceva has a team-high 172 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. His twin brother, Xavier, ran for 147 yards and 3 TD in a 41-3 rout of East Pennsboro last week.
Manheim Township invades John Gurski Stadium on Friday. The Barons have already knocked off Cumberland Valley, Neshaminy, and Central York. PJ Myers has rumbled for 377 yards and 3 TD on 61 carries. Dayne Byler is completing 67% of his passes for 430 yards. The first-year starter has thrown six touchdowns and just one interception. The Blue Streaks left West Lawn with a 20-14 victory and the Section 1 championship a season ago.
Exeter faces Ephrata on Friday at Don Thomas Stadium. Sophomore Bentley Rearich leads the (3-0) Mounts with 256 rushing yards. Senior quarterback Carson Martin has 348 yards through the air with three touchdowns and two picks.
Conrad Weiser meets ELCO in Robesonia on Friday. The (1-2) Raiders got tripped up by Fleetwood 28-14 last week.
Some may be wondering why Wyomissing didn’t slide more in my poll. Keep in mind that the Spartans have played two teams that were in the state finals in 2025. Northern Lebanon comes to Bob Wolfrum Field this Saturday at 1:30pm. The (3-0) Vikings rely heavily on Brady Ryan. He has 617 yards and 7 TD on 59 carries.
Muhlenberg takes on another tough opponent in Laureldale this Friday. Solanco is averaging 40.3 points and a staggering 438 yards per game on the ground. The (3-0) Golden Mules have run the rock 130 times, while attempting just 12 passes. Wesley Bard is off to an explosive start. The 5’10, 170-pound junior has racked up 624 yards and 8 TD on only 25 carries!
Fleetwood heads to Garden Spot on Friday. The (1-2) Spartans lost 27-10 to Ephrata a week ago.
Boyertown is on the road versus Avon Grove. The winless Red Devils were blown out by Spring-Ford 43-6 in Week 3.
Gov. Mifflin battles Conestoga Valley in Shillington on Friday. The (3-0) Buckskins defeated Dallastown 21-17 last week. Conestoga Valley is the defending Section 2 champion in the Lancaster-Lebanon League.
