“Roberts Rankings”-Football

Here are my Berks County high school football rankings. Remember that no matter where your favorite team is ranked, the sun will come out tomorrow! Berks County schools went (6-9) last week. There was one all-Berks matchup. Twin Valley rallied to beat Daniel Boone 43-20 in Birdsboro. There are no changes in my poll this week. Five of my top eight squads came out on top. Wyomissing and Exeter are still unbeaten as we enter the final week of the regular season. The Eagles soar into Manheim Central on Friday to decide the Section 2 championship in the Lancaster-Lebanon League. The (9-0) Barons are coming off a 69-21 rout of Gov. Mifflin. I’ll be in Manheim to provide updates. Wyomissing squares off with (8-1) Lampeter-Strasburg on Saturday afternoon. The Section 4 title is on the line. I’ll also be covering that one. Wilson visits (7-2) Manheim Township and Reading faces Hempfield at Shirk Stadium. The Black Knights have already clinched at least a share of the Section 1 crown. Schuylkill Valley can earn a share of the Section 5 championship with a win over undefeated Lancaster Catholic in Leesport. Hamburg battles (3-6) Columbia on Hawk Hill. Twin Valley has a non-league contest at Hatboro-Horsham. Gov. Mifflin wraps up the regular season at (4-5) Warwick and Berks Catholic will head to (4-5) ELCO on Friday.
