Here are my Berks County high school football rankings. Remember that no matter where your favorite team is ranked, the sun will come out tomorrow! Berks County squads went (7-8) for the second week in a row. There were a pair of all-Berks matchups. Schuylkill Valley held off Hamburg 41-34 in the 48th Frost Bowl. Dom Giuffre set a school record with 304 rushing yards for the Panthers. They move up one spot in my poll after extending their winning streak to six. The Hawks drop one spot to #8. Six of the top eight teams in my rankings won last week. Wyomissing and Exeter remain perfect. The Spartans invade (1-7) Octorara on Friday, while the Eagles face (4-4) Conestoga Valley at Don Thomas Stadium. Gov. Mifflin and Berks Catholic jumped up one spot in my poll. The Mustangs take on undefeated Manheim Central on Friday in Shillington. Berks Catholic entertains (4-4) Cocalico this week. I’ll be covering that Section 4 contest. Twin Valley tries to rebound from a 35-15 loss to Ephrata. The Raiders visit (1-7) Daniel Boone. Schuylkill Valley battles (5-3) Annville-Cleona at Leesport. Hamburg is on the road against (2-6) Northern Lebanon. Wilson is back at John Gurski Stadium to square off with (1-7) McCaskey.
