“Roberts Rankings”-Boys Basketball

Here are my Berks County high school boys basketball rankings. Remember that no matter where your favorite team is ranked, the sun will come out tomorrow! The Red Knights are marching full steam ahead. They’ve won four straight including back-to-back battles with Vertical Academy from Charlotte and Archbishop Wood of the Philadelphia Catholic League. Congratulations to junior guard Ruben Rodriguez for surpassing 1,000 career points in front of 4,400 fans at Santander Arena on Friday. Berks Catholic’s winning streak is up to five. The Saints travel to York Catholic on Wednesday. Wilson moved up one spot to #3 in my poll. The Bulldogs have been without leading scorer Cam Jones for the past four games. I’m told that the junior point guard will be back on Tuesday vs. Gov. Mifflin. I’ll be covering that rivalry matchup in West Lawn. Muhlenberg jumped up one position to #4. The Muhls have split their last six games. They blew out Exeter by 23 points last Monday in Laureldale. The Eagles dropped two spots to #5. They host Reading on Tuesday. Gov. Mifflin has league games with Wilson and Berks Catholic this week. The Mustangs and Muhls are on the bubble for the District 3-6A playoffs. Antietam and Fleetwood traded places in my rankings. The Mounts are on top of Division 4. They’re allowing just 39 points per game. Antietam has won ten straight. The Tigers lead Division 3 after crushing Wyomissing 52-25 on Saturday.
