Here are my Berks County high school boys basketball rankings. Remember that no matter where your favorite team is ranked, the sun will come out tomorrow! As expected, the Red Knights have shown that they’re the clear favorite in the Berks Conference. Reading already has impressive wins over Imhotep Charter and La Salle College High School. The Red Knights invade West Lawn on Tuesday to battle Wilson. I’ll be there to provide live updates. I anticipate that my poll will be very fluid this season. The teams ranked #2 through #6 can beat each other on any night. Muhlenberg moves up two spots to #3. The Muhls, Saints, and Red Knights are a combined (12-0). Berks Catholic hosts Gov. Mifflin on Tuesday. The Mustangs and Eagles dropped non-league games in overtime on Saturday. Both had double digit leads. Gov. Mifflin fell at Hempfield, while Exeter came up short against Spring-Ford. The Eagles slip one spot to #4. The Mustangs jump up one place to fifth in my poll. Wilson goes from #4 to #6 after a tough loss in Shillington. The Bulldogs had an 8-point advantage with five minutes left. Unbeaten Fleetwood enters my rankings at #7. Wyomissing still hasn’t played a game after another long football season that saw the Spartans reach the Class 3A state championship.
