There was a lot of talk this year about the possibility of the Lancaster-Lebanon Football League changing from five sections to four. Although several athletic directors in Berks County were in favor of four sections, that will not be happening in 2026 and 2027. The alignment in the five sections has been set for the next two-year cycle. You will see that the new sections look a whole lot like the current sections. In fact, only two schools will have a new home. Twin Valley is moving up to Section 3 and Conrad Weiser is dropping down to Section 4. The other 35 schools will stay put.
In 2026 and 2027, schools in Section 1 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League will be playing one crossover game against teams from the York-Adams League. Berks Sports Report has been told that Wilson will take on Central York, and Reading will face South Western. In addition, Manheim Township will meet York High.
The teams in Section 2 and Section 3 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League will have one crossover game against each other. Berks Sports Report has learned that these are the matchups for 2026 and 2027.
