Here are the Lancaster-Lebanon Quarterback Club Players of the Week:
Reading’s Gabriel Laws ran for 50 yards and two touchdowns. He also piled up 15 tackles, four tackles for loss, and a pair of sacks.
Caleb Rice of Ephrata finished with 16 tackles and 5.5 TFL. The sophomore linebacker was making his first varsity start.
Donovan Gingrich from Conrad Weiser was 12-of-16 for 118 yards and 2 TD. He added 119 yards on the ground.
Evan Johnson ran for 123 yards and two scores on just six carries. He also came up with an interception as Twin Valley improved to (5-0).
Bryce Gumby of Berks Catholic set a school record with 268 rushing yards on 17 carries. He reached the end zone four times.
Here are the Defensive Players/Linemen of the Week from the L-L League:
Cedar Crest sophomore Garrett Starry made 15 tackles and two tackles for loss.
Brennan Frymoyer from Ephrata was a key blocker in a 17-10 win over Elizabethtown.
Jack Heckman of Conrad Weiser received a 94% blocking grade. Heckman, who attends Tulpehocken, had a pair of pancake blocks.
Zach Troutman from Twin Valley got a 90% blocking grade. The 6’2, 335-pound junior finished with four pancake blocks.
Annville-Cleona sophomore Jaxon Speece racked up 10 tackles, 4 TFL, and a forced fumble.
