People are constantly mispronouncing Kole Kupper’s last name. If he keeps having games like last Thursday, everyone in southeastern Pennsylvania will know his name. It’s pronounced (Cooper) by the way. The 6’, 185-pound junior set a school record with six touchdowns in Conrad Weiser’s 49-26 victory at Eastern York. “It felt great. I didn’t expect it at all. I was like I can’t believe this is real. I never thought it would happen,” said Kupper. He finished with 261 yards on 17 carries. “It’s a great feeling to have that achievement and be in the record books,” emphasized Kupper.
The (3-0) Scouts ended up with 390 rushing yards against the Golden Knights. Kupper gave credit to the guys up front. “My first two touchdowns, I had holes that were about five yards wide,” he noted. The offensive line includes Lincoln Harting and Ryan Kase at guard. Kase is a 6’1, 260-pound senior. Harting is a 6’2, 235-pound junior who also starts at defensive end. “I don’t think there’s a single time he’s off the field. He is a big body. He likes to be physical,” replied Kupper. Harting has 14 tackles and a pair of sacks in three games. Junior Owen Bauscher is at center with Westyn Ulrich at right tackle. Ulrich, a 240-pound senior, received a 93% blocking grade last week versus Eastern York. Robbie Giffing has moved from tight end to left tackle due to an injury to Payson Mortland.
Conrad Weiser is averaging 279 yards per game on the ground and just 49 through the air. Connor Sellars, a returning starter at quarterback, is 9-of-16 for 148 yards. Kupper only got 22 carries a season ago, but showed flashes of his ability while returning kicks. He kicked off the 2026 campaign with a bang. Kupper ran for 202 yards and 4 TD on 20 carries against Schuylkill Valley. The Scouts defeated the Panthers 27-13. “That definitely brought my confidence level up,” acknowledged Kupper. Conrad Weiser’s defense stole the show in a 13-12 win over Milton Hershey in Week 2.
Kupper already has 525 rushing yards and 10 TD this fall. He’s averaging 8.5 yards per carry. Kupper is also a standout on the lacrosse field. He was named first team All-County as a sophomore.
The Scouts dropped down to Class 4A and Section 4 in the Lancaster-Lebanon League this year. They entered the season with only 34 players on the roster. “We’re a tough team. We’re taught well. We’re just pounding the ball,” said Kupper. Alan Moyer is in his 24th year as the head coach in Robesonia. The former Conrad Weiser running back and linebacker holds the school record with 155 victories.
The Scouts host ELCO in their league opener on Friday night. The (1-2) Raiders fell to Fleetwood 28-14 last week. Brinley Donmoyer was responsible for both of ELCO’s touchdowns. The 6’1, 195-pound quarterback had 101 yards on 12 carries. “He’s a big guy, definitely gotta stay low on him,” remarked Kupper.
