Jadyn Jones-Wilson

Jadyn Jones was a workhorse for Wilson on a rainy night in West Lawn. The 215-pound senior rumbled for 177 yards on 30 carries against Manheim Township. The Bulldogs prevailed 21-14 to lock up their record 28th Section 1 championship in the Lancaster-Lebanon League. Wilson ran for 333 yards and held the ball for nearly 32 minutes. The Bulldogs outgained Manheim Township 386-to-208. Jones said Wilson dominated up front. He thinks the Bulldogs can win a District 3 title. We also discussed how their non-league schedule has helped them, and what’s been the difference over the second half of the season. Wilson improved to (7-3, 5-0) with its fifth consecutive win. Jones told me that it was an emotional week for the team after they learned of the death of 2012 graduate Clayton Schannauer. He passed away on Tuesday in a car accident. Schannauer was a standout OL for the Bulldogs.
