J.R. Strauss-Exeter

Exeter opened the season with a tough 35-28 loss to Central York at Don Thomas Stadium. J.R. Strauss had an incredible game for the Eagles. The 6’3, 210-pound TE/LB finished with 8 catches for 158 yards and 3TD! His amazing 49-yard TD grab with six seconds left in the third quarter tied the game at 28. Strauss is committed to Villanova. He talked about his relationship with first-year starting QB Colin Payne. Strauss told me about the defensive adjustments that Exeter made in the second half. He also said that he’s a fan of Rob Gronkowski.
