Congratulations to the six boys basketball teams from Berks County that qualified for the state playoffs. Here are their opening round matchups this week.
6A: Downingtown West at Reading at 7pm on Wednesday.
5A: Exeter at Chester at 7pm on Tuesday.
4A: Archbishop Carroll at Berks Catholic at 7pm on Tuesday.
3A: Tulpehocken vs. West Catholic at Bonner-Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill at 7:30pm on Wednesday.
2A: Antietam vs. Holy Cross at Lackawanna College at 7pm on Wednesday.
A: High Point Baptist at St. John Neumann in Williamsport at 7pm on Tuesday.
A number of years ago schools AV and sports broadcasters used Comcasts channel 22 to broadcast the Berks football and basketball games. It’s still there but no one uses the channel. It would be nice to see it used once again to give the students experience and give the public an option besides the radio,
