Evan Myers-Twin Valley

The Raiders’ football team has 48 players on its roster and 16 are freshman. One of the ninth graders is the starting quarterback. Evan Myers was an efficient 8-11 for 143 yards and a TD in Twin Valley’s season opening win over Garden Spot. The Raiders prevailed 27-24 in overtime. Myers told me that he has been watching game film since he was five years old. His father, Brett, was the head coach at Middletown for eight seasons. He guided the Blue Raiders to three consecutive District 3 titles and three appearances in the Class 3A state championship game from 2016-‘18. Evan loves talking football with his dad. He also told me about his favorite movies.
