Drew Eisenhower-Wyomissing

In a Wing-T offense, the running backs have to make the most of their carries. Drew Eisenhower certainly did that against Schuylkill Valley on Saturday afternoon. The 5’11, 185-pound junior ran for 142 yards on just four carries including a 46-yard TD. He wasn’t done there. Eisenhower opened the second half with an 84-yard kickoff return TD to give the Spartans a 42-0 advantage. He gave a lot of credit to Amory Thompson for his blocking on the return. Eisenhower said Ben Zechman is doing a great job at quarterback. Zechman went 3-for-3 for 30 yards and 2TD vs. the Panthers. Eisenhower loves running behind TE Aiden Mack and OT Jven Williams. Mack is committed to Richmond. Williams, a 310-pound junior, has several Division I offers. Drew’s father, Chad, was a standout RB at Wyomissing. Drew told me that he tries to imitate his dad’s running style. Drew also mentioned that the win over Southern Columbia this season gave the Spartans a lot of confidence. Wyomissing is (9-0) and ranked third in the state in Class 3A. They host Conrad Weiser next Saturday.
