Daniel Boone QB Injury

I’m told that Daniel Boone quarterback Carter Speyerer suffered a broken right ankle early in the Blazers’ season opener against Wyomissing. Speyerer is scheduled to have surgery on Thursday. He will be out indefinitely. Speyerer is a three-year starter at Daniel Boone. The 6’1, 200-pound senior also played free safety. 5’11 sophomore Dean Rotter will take over at quarterback for the Blazers. Rotter went 10-17 for 73 yards and a TD vs. Wyomissing. The left-handed QB is known as a student of the game. The Spartans used a big third quarter to defeat Daniel Boone 41-14. The Blazers are on the road this Friday against Twin Valley. We’re wishing Carter a speedy recovery.
