Cameron Harris is one of several Hawks getting a lot of playing time on both sides of the ball. The 6’1, 187-pound senior has three interceptions at safety. He recently made the transition from WR to TE. Harris is glad to have junior Xander Menapace at QB. He talked about the keys to slowing down Fleetwood on Friday night. The Tigers are looking for their third straight win. Harris said making the District 3 playoffs is something that’s extremely important to the team. The (5-2) Hawks are currently third in the Class 3A power rankings behind Wyomissing and Boiling Springs. The top eight teams will qualify, something Hamburg hasn’t done since 2015. Harris also told me about his career goals. He would like to be a homicide detective. Harris has hopes of working for the FBI. He enjoys fishing, but I wasn’t able to get him to reveal his favorite spot!
