“Roberts Rankings”-Football

Here are my Berks County high school football rankings. The top four teams in my poll are all coming off lopsided wins. There are no changes this week. Remember that no matter where your favorite team is ranked, the sun will come out tomorrow!

After knocking out Berks Catholic 35-7 in the “Backyard Brawl”, Wyomissing hosts unbeaten ELCO on Saturday afternoon. Jake Williams already has 1,141 rushing yards and 16TD for the Raiders. Wilson travels to Cedar Crest this Friday. The Bulldogs will be a tough test for the (4-0) Falcons. Exeter meets winless Lebanon at Don Thomas Stadium. Twin Valley is on the road against Elizabethtown. The Bears are (0-4) after going (8-3) a season ago.

Gov. Mifflin looks to get back on track following a 31-10 loss at Exeter. The Mustangs take on (1-3) Muhlenberg in Shillington. Berks Catholic’s stretch of facing four state-ranked teams is finally over. The Saints head to (2-2) Donegal this week. Congratulations to Schuylkill Valley head coach Bruce Harbach on reaching 150 career victories. The Panthers battle (1-3) Pequea Valley in Leesport on Friday. Hamburg goes north to (1-3) Kutztown this week.
