Here are my Berks County high school football rankings. Remember that no matter where your favorite team is ranked, the sun will come out tomorrow! And then there were two. Exeter and Wyomissing are the only Berks County squads still standing. The season ended for Twin Valley in the District 3-4A semifinals. The Raiders lost to top-seeded Bishop McDevitt 47-3. The (10-1) Crusaders are searching for their 16th District 3 title. Twin Valley raised the bar this year by winning its first District 3 playoff game. The Raiders have 22 juniors and 15 sophomores on their roster to build around. Exeter advanced to the District 3-5A final for the second year in a row. The second-seeded Eagles eliminated #11 seed Northern York 21-7. Exeter will face #12 seed Cocalico on Friday at Don Thomas Stadium. Cocalico upset top-seeded and previously unbeaten Solanco 32-8 in the semifinals. I’ll have updates from Reiffton of the championship game. Wyomissing dismantled third-seeded West Perry 63-7 for the District 3-3A title. It’s the most lopsided championship result in District 3 history! The Spartans earned their 4th consecutive title and 11th overall. They’ll travel to (12-0) Danville this Friday night for a state quarterfinal. The Ironmen beat Loyalsock 41-20 in the District 4-3A final. There are no changes in my poll this week.
