“Roberts Rankings”-Football

Here are my Berks County high school football rankings. Remember that no matter where your favorite team is ranked, the sun will come out tomorrow. Berks County teams went (7-8) in Week 1. Keep in mind that there were three all-Berks matchups. There are no changes among the top 5 schools in my poll. Wyomissing and Exeter won by a combined score of 84-0! The Spartans travel north to Pottsville this Friday. I’ll have live coverage from Veterans Memorial Stadium. Exeter hosts Boyertown this week. The Bears started the Justin Konnick era with a 61-0 rout of Upper Perkiomen. Wilson, Gov. Mifflin, and Berks Catholic had tough Week 1 opponents. The Bulldogs are on the road versus Central Dauphin this week. One of those perennial powers will begin the season (0-2). Twin Valley moved up one spot in my rankings after defeating Schuylkill Valley 39-12. The Raiders entertain Lower Dauphin on Friday. Hamburg jumped into the poll with a 48-6 blowout at Halifax. Warrior Run is next up for the Hawks. Conrad Weiser slipped out of the rankings after a 31-6 loss to visiting Garden Spot. The Scouts meet (1-0) Fleetwood in Robesonia this week.
