Here are my Berks County high school football rankings for the final week of the season. Remember that no matter where your favorite team is ranked, the sun will come out tomorrow! There are a few changes at the top of the poll this week. Wyomissing is once again the last Berks County team still playing. The undefeated Spartans destroyed Neumann-Goretti 42-6 in the Class 3A state semifinals. Wyomissing ran for 348 yards and outgained the Saints 410-145! The Spartans moved up from #3 to #1 in my rankings. They face Central Valley on Saturday in the 3A state championship. Kickoff is at noon at Hersheypark Stadium. The Warriors have won 26 consecutive games. They beat Wyomissing 35-21 in last year’s state final. Exeter’s thrilling season came to an end with a 49-14 loss to Penn-Trafford in the 5A semifinals. The Eagles made history in 2021 by winning their first District 3 title. Exeter and Gov. Mifflin each dropped one spot in my poll.
1. Wyomissing (15-0)
2. Exeter (10-4)
3. Gov. Mifflin (10-1)
4. Wilson (9-4)
5. Berks Catholic (7-5)
6. Conrad Weiser (7-4)
7. Twin Valley (6-5)
8. Daniel Boone (5-4)
