Xander Menapace is back under center for the Hawks. The 6’4, 195-pound junior is looking forward to throwing the ball more this year with Jeff Chillot taking over as head coach. Menapace went 9-14 for 186 yards and 2TD in a season opening rout of York County School of Technology. Xander’s father, Aaron, is Hamburg’s athletic director and an assistant football coach. Xander talked about their relationship and their connection to perennial powerhouse Southern Columbia. Xander also told me about his hobbies off of the football field.
