Exeter got thumped at third-seeded Bishop McDevitt 42-0 in the District 3-5A semifinals. The (10-2) Crusaders are the defending state champions in Class 5A. They have an overall record of (71-9) in the District 3 tournament. The Eagles wrapped up their campaign at (10-3).

Twin Valley got off to a slow start, but pulled away from second-seeded West York for a 45-14 victory. The (12-0) Raiders have advanced to the District 3-4A Final for the first time. Drew Engle ran for 250 yards and 4TD. He broke Dominic Caruso’s school record for career rushing yards.

Wyomissing lost a heartbreaker at #1 seed Susquehanna Township 37-35 in the District 3-4A semifinals. Justice Hardy gave the (10-2) Spartans a 35-31 lead on a 9-yard touchdown run with 59 seconds remaining. Marist commit Torin Evans answered with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Josh Nengite on the final play. The (12-0) Indians will square off with Twin Valley next Friday.

Berks Catholic fell to Trinity 17-0 in the District 3-3A Championship at ELCO. The Saints’ season comes to a close with a mark of (9-3). The (10-3) Shamrocks earned their fourth District 3 crown.

Exeter left Conestoga Valley with a 41-34 victory in the District 3-5A quarterfinals. The (10-2) Eagles led 34-7 in the second quarter. They recovered an onside kick with just over a minute to play. #7 seed Exeter visits #3 seed Bishop McDevitt next Friday. The Crusaders have won 18 District 3 championships including four in a row.

Twin Valley rolled over West Perry 55-15 in the District 3-4A quarterfinals at Elverson. Drew Engle ran for 219 yards and 3 TD on 12 carries. He also had a 95-yard pick-6 and a 73-yard kickoff return score. Engle holds the school record for career touchdowns with 53. The (11-0) Raiders head to #2 seed West York next Friday.

Berks Catholic blew out Bermudian Springs 37-6 in the District 3-3A semifinals. The Saints improved to (9-2) with their eighth consecutive win. #1 seed Berks Catholic meets #3 seed Trinity next Friday for the title.

On Saturday, #4 seed Wyomissing battles #5 seed Lampeter-Strasburg in the District 3-4A quarterfinals. Kickoff is set for 1pm at Bob Wolfrum Field. The (9-1) Spartans hammered the (7-3) Pioneers 46-7 in their regular season finale.

#9 seed Muhlenberg lost 35-0 at #8 seed Spring Grove in the opening round of the District 3-5A tournament. The (8-3) Muhls made their first appearance in District’s since 2013. Cam Small ended his career as Muhlenberg’s all-time rushing leader.

#6 seed Schuylkill Valley fell at #3 seed Trinity 35-7 in the District 3-3A quarterfinals. The (5-6) Panthers got knocked out by the (8-3) Shamrocks for the second year in a row.

Gov. Mifflin won 51-14 at Pocono Mountain West in the Eastern Conference 5A/6A Championship. The (4-7) Mustangs outscored the Panthers 35-0 in the second half.

#15 seed Boyertown lost at #2 seed North Penn 42-14 in the first round of the District 1-6A playoffs. The (6-5) Bears trailed 35-0 at halftime. Boyertown qualified for the District 1 tournament for just the third time in program history.

Twin Valley rolled over Daniel Boone 71-7. The (10-0) Raiders captured the Section 4 crown. They’re ranked #3 in the state in Class 4A by PennLive.

Wyomissing blew out Lampeter-Strasburg 46-7. The (9-1) Spartans are #7 in the Class 4A state rankings.

Berks Catholic won the Section 5 championship in thrilling fashion. The (8-2, 7-0) Saints outlasted Annville-Cleona 14-7 in overtime. Owen Schalk had a 10-yard touchdown run in OT.

Gov. Mifflin fell to Ephrata 28-20 in Shillington. The (3-7) Mustangs were without senior quarterback Lebron Leaf due to a shoulder injury.

Reading lost to Hempfield 43-6 at Shirk Stadium. The Red Knights end up (1-9).

Schuylkill Valley came up short in a nailbiter at Lancaster Catholic 17-16. The (5-5) Panthers scored a touchdown with 1:07 left. They opted to go for two points, but the conversion was stuffed by the (6-4) Crusaders.

Fleetwood got tripped up at Cocalico 49-21. The Tigers finished (2-8).

Kutztown left Pequea Valley with a 36-28 victory. The (2-8) Cougars claimed their first league win of the season.

Muhlenberg outlasted Academy Park 42-37 in Laureldale. Adriel Baez tossed a go-ahead 18-yard touchdown pass to Freddy Lacey on fourth down with 28 seconds left. The Muhls improved to (8-1).

Gov. Mifflin fell at Elizabethtown 34-16. Mustangs’ quarterback Lebron Leaf suffered a shoulder injury late in the second quarter and didn’t play after halftime. Gov. Mifflin dropped to (3-6).
