Hempfield junior WR Orion Abrams had six catches for 127 yards and three touchdowns. He added an interception on defense.

Exeter’s Leo Brown ran for 206 yards and three touchdowns.

Dane Horning of Cocalico piled up 175 yards and 2TD on 25 carries. He also made eleven tackles.

Brayden Mastripolitto from Octorara finished with 234 yards and 4TD on just ten carries. The junior safety returned an interception 75 yards for a score.

Columbia’s Cameron McClair threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for two more.

Here are the Linemen of the Week from the L-L League:

Jake Ruch of Manheim Township was a force at both guard and tackle. He also made four tackles.

Exeter C/DT Joel Ummarino received a blocking grade of 100% with seven pancake blocks. He added six tackles.

Cocalico guard Nick McArdle earned a blocking grade of 95% with four pancake blocks. The Eagles racked up 337 yards on the ground.

Octorara junior center Lucas Reid helped the Braves run for 334 yards and five touchdowns.

Hudson Sellers from Annville-Cleona had ten tackles including 3TFL. The tight end did a great job blocking, and took his only carry 45 yards for a touchdown.

Manheim Township WR/DB Zach Bomberger made 10 total tackles and was outstanding in pass coverage. He also did a great job blocking in the run game.

Ephrata sophomore Malachi Knowles moved to quarterback midway through the third quarter. He threw a 64-yard touchdown pass and ran for a 75-yard score to seal the win. Knowles added three tackles and an interception on defense.

Andrew Pemberton of Garden Spot piled up 260 all-purpose yards including a 99-yard kickoff return touchdown. He finished with 105 rushing yards and an 80-yard score on just seven carries.

Octorara’s Brayden Mastripolitto ran for 170 yards and 4 TD on ten carries. The junior safety made 11 tackles and forced a fumble.

Cameron McClair from Columbia was 7-of-10 for 178 yards and a touchdown. He ran for two more scores and kicked three extra points. The junior DE provided five tackles and four sacks.

Penn Manor DT Elijah Hess forced a fumble and returned it 80 yards for a touchdown.

Jackson Nolt of Ephrata made 9 tackles, 3.5 TFL, and 2.5 sacks.

Westin Ulrich from Conrad Weiser received a 94% blocking grade with a pair of pancake blocks.

Octorara freshman DE Mason Labiak racked up 10 tackles.

Carson Arnold, an OT at Columbia, earned a blocking grade of 88% with two pancake blocks.

Wyomissing cornerback Marcus Armistead made 2 INT including a pick-6. He also forced and recovered a fumble.

Wilson, Boyertown, and Kutztown each had two representatives on the team. Alex Trevena from Conrad Weiser received special recognition. The Kent State commit was voted the Class 5A Player of the Year. Congratulations to all of the players who were chosen from Berks County.

Congratulations to Kingston McKoy of Berks Catholic for making the first team in Class 4A. The 6’2 junior was the only player selected from Berks County. He was a third team pick last year. McKoy averaged 21.5 points and knocked down a team-high 63 three-pointers this season. He led the Saints to their sixth District 3 Championship. McKoy poured in a game-high 29 points and hit three triples as Berks Catholic blew out second-seeded Eastern York 67-44 at the Giant Center. The versatile guard, who is also elite on the defensive end of the floor, surpassed 1,000 career points in the state quarterfinals against Sharon. Berks Catholic reached the PIAA-4A Final for the first time. McKoy finished with a team-high 16 points in a 55-39 loss to Devon Prep. The Saints ended the year with a record of (25-6).

For the first time, there is a Big School team and a Small School team. This change was made in order to recognize more outstanding players. The voting was done by coaches. Offensive tackle Logan Wegman (Exeter), outside linebacker Christo Hunsicker (Wilson), and kick returner Justice Hardy (Wyomissing) were the only unanimous picks. Ephrata’s Brayden Brown had 144 combined rushing and receiving yards. He scored three touchdowns and made 13 tackles.

Cocalico quarterback Josh Myer racked up 189 rushing yards and 2 TD on 23 carries.

Austin Kurtz from Octorara finished with 13 tackles and an interception.

Logan Nawrocki of Schuylkill Valley was 21-of-36 for 265 yards and 3 TD as the Panthers clinched the Section 5 title.

Tristan Long of Cedar Crest returned an interception 42 yards for a score and made four tackles. He also had three pancake blocks.

Justin Corson from Conestoga Valley had ten tackles and three TFL.

Cocalico senior guard Thomas Dattoli earned the highest blocking grade on the team as the Eagles ran for 294 yards. He provided three pancake blocks.

Lampeter-Strasburg middle linebacker Emory Fluhr piled up 17 total tackles and an interception at Wyomissing.

Luke Spotts of Schuylkill Valley caught eight passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. He added ten tackles and a sack on defense.

Sawyer Esbenshade of Conestoga Valley went 19-of-31 for 267 yards and 3 TD. The junior also ran for a score in a 28-27 win at Exeter.

Gabe Martin was all over the field for Garden Spot. He had 13 carries for 94 yards and 2 TD. Martin threw a touchdown pass while filling in at quarterback. He also had 13 tackles including three TFL.

Caileb Howse from Lampeter-Strasburg rumbled for 323 yards and 7 TD on 15 carries. He was 4-of-5 through the air for 55 yards and another score.

Berks Catholic’s Xavier Gerald finished with 111 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries.

Cedar Crest offensive tackle Alex Kissinger racked up four pancake blocks. He received a blocking grade over 90%.

Tal Stoltzfus, a 250-pound senior, was a standout on both sides of the football for undefeated Conestoga Valley.

Ashton Kiebach of Conrad Weiser made five tackles including a pivotal stop on fourth down to end Cocalico’s final drive.

Lampeter-Strasburg center Carson Zook helped the Pioneers rush for 536 yards in a 62-14 victory over Twin Valley.

Damoni Daglis from Berks Catholic had eleven tackles and a sack. The sophomore defensive tackle also forced a fumble.

Brayden Eppinette of Cocalico finished with 195 yards and 2 TD on just nine carries. He also had eight tackles.

Wyomissing sophomore Justice Hardy piled up 287 rushing and receiving yards along with a pair of touchdowns.

Jon Shay from Annville-Cleona ran 20 times for 188 yards and 4 TD. He added 61 receiving yards and another score. Shay was a key contributor on defense as well with 11 tackles.

Julian Larue of Manheim Township had nine tackles, 3 TFL, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

Ephrata’s Landan Barton helped pave the way for 202 rushing yards and 369 total yards. Barton played guard for just the second game after 18 career starts at left tackle.

Conrad Weiser center Charlie Shimp received a 94% blocking grade as the Scouts improved to (8-0).

Wyomissing junior Andrew Bresnahan racked up six tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in a key 34-24 victory over Twin Valley.

Schuylkill Valley tight end Luke Spotts caught nine passes for 131 yards and 2 TD in the 50th Frost Bowl at Hamburg.

Schuylkill Valley senior quarterback Logan Nawrocki went 12-of-13 for 235 yards and 5 TD.

Ashton Kiebach from Conrad Weiser ended his night with eight tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery.

Noah DiGiacomo helped Twin Valley dominate the line of scrimmage in a 49-0 victory against Donegal. The junior center had two pancake blocks in a half of action for the (7-0) Raiders.

Berks Catholic center Jack Chiarelli got a 96% blocking grade as the Saints held off Kutztown 35-34.
