For the first time, there is a Big School team and a Small School team. This change was made in order to recognize more outstanding players. The voting was done by coaches. Offensive tackle Logan Wegman (Exeter), outside linebacker Christo Hunsicker (Wilson), and kick returner Justice Hardy (Wyomissing) were the only unanimous picks. Congratulations to Alan Moyer (Conrad Weiser) and Bob Wolfrum (Wyomissing) who were named Coach of the Year. The following first team selections will receive plaques from the BCFCA.

Wilson safety Chase Herb made 12 tackles at Manheim Township as the Bulldogs won the Section 1 championship.

Ephrata’s Brayden Brown had 144 combined rushing and receiving yards. He scored three touchdowns and made 13 tackles.

Cocalico quarterback Josh Myer racked up 189 rushing yards and 2 TD on 23 carries.

Austin Kurtz from Octorara finished with 13 tackles and an interception.

Logan Nawrocki of Schuylkill Valley was 21-of-36 for 265 yards and 3 TD as the Panthers clinched the Section 5 title.

Here are the Defensive Players/Linemen of the Week from the L-L League:

Tristan Long of Cedar Crest returned an interception 42 yards for a score and made four tackles. He also had three pancake blocks.

Justin Corson from Conestoga Valley had ten tackles and three TFL.

Cocalico senior guard Thomas Dattoli earned the highest blocking grade on the team as the Eagles ran for 294 yards. He provided three pancake blocks.

Lampeter-Strasburg middle linebacker Emory Fluhr piled up 17 total tackles and an interception at Wyomissing.

Luke Spotts of Schuylkill Valley caught eight passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. He added ten tackles and a sack on defense.

Manheim Township quarterback Carson Weisser was 12-of-13 for 193 yards and two touchdowns in the first half against Penn Manor.

Sawyer Esbenshade of Conestoga Valley went 19-of-31 for 267 yards and 3 TD. The junior also ran for a score in a 28-27 win at Exeter.

Gabe Martin was all over the field for Garden Spot. He had 13 carries for 94 yards and 2 TD. Martin threw a touchdown pass while filling in at quarterback. He also had 13 tackles including three TFL.

Caileb Howse from Lampeter-Strasburg rumbled for 323 yards and 7 TD on 15 carries. He was 4-of-5 through the air for 55 yards and another score.

Berks Catholic’s Xavier Gerald finished with 111 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries.

Here are the Defensive Players/Linemen of the Week from the L-L League:

Cedar Crest offensive tackle Alex Kissinger racked up four pancake blocks. He received a blocking grade over 90%.

Tal Stoltzfus, a 250-pound senior, was a standout on both sides of the football for undefeated Conestoga Valley.

Ashton Kiebach of Conrad Weiser made five tackles including a pivotal stop on fourth down to end Cocalico’s final drive.

Lampeter-Strasburg center Carson Zook helped the Pioneers rush for 536 yards in a 62-14 victory over Twin Valley.

Damoni Daglis from Berks Catholic had eleven tackles and a sack. The sophomore defensive tackle also forced a fumble.

Cedar Crest sophomore Isaiah Zimmerman ran for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. He surpassed 1,000 yards for the season.

Ephrata’s Brayden Brown had 73 rushing yards and ten tackles, including 3 TFL.

Brayden Eppinette of Cocalico finished with 195 yards and 2 TD on just nine carries. He also had eight tackles.

Wyomissing sophomore Justice Hardy piled up 287 rushing and receiving yards along with a pair of touchdowns.

Jon Shay from Annville-Cleona ran 20 times for 188 yards and 4 TD. He added 61 receiving yards and another score. Shay was a key contributor on defense as well with 11 tackles.

Julian Larue of Manheim Township had nine tackles, 3 TFL, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

Ephrata’s Landan Barton helped pave the way for 202 rushing yards and 369 total yards. Barton played guard for just the second game after 18 career starts at left tackle.

Conrad Weiser center Charlie Shimp received a 94% blocking grade as the Scouts improved to (8-0).

Wyomissing junior Andrew Bresnahan racked up six tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in a key 34-24 victory over Twin Valley.

Schuylkill Valley tight end Luke Spotts caught nine passes for 131 yards and 2 TD in the 50th Frost Bowl at Hamburg.

Dane Horning from Cocalico rumbled for 102 yards and a score on 14 carries. He stood out on defense too with 15 tackles and a forced fumble.

Caileb Howse of Lampeter-Strasburg finished 11-of-12 for 154 yards and 2 TD. He added 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground.

Schuylkill Valley senior quarterback Logan Nawrocki went 12-of-13 for 235 yards and 5 TD.

Manheim Township center Owen Marks helped the undefeated Blue Streaks surpass 500 total yards in a 38-13 win over Cedar Crest.

Exeter’s Logan Wegman received a perfect blocking grade. The Navy commit had seven pancake blocks.

Ashton Kiebach from Conrad Weiser ended his night with eight tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery.

Noah DiGiacomo helped Twin Valley dominate the line of scrimmage in a 49-0 victory against Donegal. The junior center had two pancake blocks in a half of action for the (7-0) Raiders.

Berks Catholic center Jack Chiarelli got a 96% blocking grade as the Saints held off Kutztown 35-34.

Wilson’s Madyx Gruber was 15-of-20 for 232 yards and 5 TD. He also ran for 204 yards and forced a fumble on defense.

Cameron Small from Muhlenberg ran for 257 yards and two scores on 22 carries.

Evan Rittle of Conrad Weiser had seven receptions for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He added five tackles from his safety position.

Twin Valley quarterback Evan Myers ran for 142 yards and 2 TD. He provided 135 yards through the air.

Kowen Gerner from Schuylkill Valley made a go-ahead 68-yard touchdown catch with 47 seconds left. He piled up 21 combined tackles while forcing two fumbles and recovering one.

Here are the Defensive Players/Linemen of the Week from the L-L League:

Tristan Long of Cedar Crest made nine tackles including four TFL. He also had three pancake blocks.

Exeter senior guard Aven Acuna received a 97% blocking grade in a 43-6 win over Ephrata.

Conrad Weiser 270-pound offensive tackle Kaleb Britting got a 93% blocking grade. The undefeated Scouts finished with 550 total yards against Solanco.

Collin Shelley, a junior at Lampeter-Strasburg, did a great job at both offensive tackle and nose guard in a 45-0 victory versus Octorara. The Pioneers improved to (6-0).

Berks Catholic sophomore Eric Bennethum earned a 93% blocking grade at guard. He added six tackles at defensive end.

Reading’s Gabriel Laws ran for 50 yards and two touchdowns. He also piled up 15 tackles, four tackles for loss, and a pair of sacks.

Caleb Rice of Ephrata finished with 16 tackles and 5.5 TFL. The sophomore linebacker was making his first varsity start.

Donovan Gingrich from Conrad Weiser was 12-of-16 for 118 yards and 2 TD. He added 119 yards on the ground.

Evan Johnson ran for 123 yards and two scores on just six carries. He also came up with an interception as Twin Valley improved to (5-0).

Bryce Gumby of Berks Catholic set a school record with 268 rushing yards on 17 carries. He reached the end zone four times.

Cedar Crest sophomore Garrett Starry made 15 tackles and two tackles for loss.

Brennan Frymoyer from Ephrata was a key blocker in a 17-10 win over Elizabethtown.

Jack Heckman of Conrad Weiser received a 94% blocking grade. Heckman, who attends Tulpehocken, had a pair of pancake blocks.

Zach Troutman from Twin Valley got a 90% blocking grade. The 6’2, 335-pound junior finished with four pancake blocks.

Annville-Cleona sophomore Jaxon Speece racked up 10 tackles, 4 TFL, and a forced fumble.

Cocalico’s Josh Myer had 128 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He added 73 yards and another score through the air.

Berks Catholic quarterback Zach Suski finished 9-of-13 for 190 yards and 3 TD.

Brandon Way Jr. of Lancaster Catholic piled up 243 yards and four touchdowns on just seven carries. He also reached the end zone on a punt return.

Greg Gillespie from Manheim Township did a great job in pass protection and run blocking in a thrilling 20-18 win over Plymouth-Whitemarsh.

Exeter’s Logan Wegman received a 100% blocking grade and made twelve combined tackles.

Tyler Groff of Manheim Central racked up ten pancake blocks. He also had five tackles.

Octorara’s Nate Dow accumulated ten tackles, five sacks, and a forced fumble.

Aris Drake from Twin Valley had three pancake blocks. The Raiders ended up with 416 total yards and 51 points.

Berks Catholic sophomore Eric Bennethum got a 97% blocking grade and made a trio of tackles.

Grady Garner of Gov. Mifflin piled up 208 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries.

Trent Hoober made six catches for 66 yards and 2 TD. He also came up with an interception for Garden Spot.

Octorara’s Austin Kurtz had a pair of touchdown runs including the decisive score in overtime. In addition, he racked up 18 total tackles.

Nate Rose from Berks Catholic rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

Here are the Defensive Players/Linemen of the Week from the L-L League:

Aaron Martin of McCaskey had three tackles and an interception. He also did a great job blocking.

Garden Spot’s Cullen Witmer finished with nine tackles, 3 TFL, and a forced fumble.

Greyson Miller from Twin Valley forced a fumble and returned it for a touchdown. He added four pancake blocks as the Raiders put up 69 points.

Isaiah Zimmerman of Cedar Crest ran for 217 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Ephrata’s Caleb Grant threw for 214 yards and 3TD. He also ran for 117 yards.

AJ Hurst from Garden Spot passed for an eye-popping 462 yards and six scores! He also returned an interception 76 yards for a touchdown.

Evan Myers of Twin Valley racked up 236 yards through the air and 112 on the ground. He had three combined touchdowns.

Jon Shay from Annville-Cleona ran for 224 yards and a score. He also made ten tackles.

The defensive/linemen Players of the Week are Wilson’s Christo Hunsicker, Brennan Frymoyer of Ephrata, Ashton Kiebach from Conrad Weiser, Lampeter-Strasburg’s Emory Fluhr, and Eric Bennethum of Berks Catholic. Fluhr piled up 19 total tackles! Hunsicker had nine tackles and a pair of sacks. Kiebach finished with eight tackles and two sacks.
