Jadyn – Berks Sports Report https://berkssportsreport.com Paul Roberts Thu, 18 Nov 2021 23:30:09 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9.4 Jadyn Jones-Wilson https://berkssportsreport.com/jadyn-jones-wilson-4/ Thu, 18 Nov 2021 18:18:00 +0000 https://berkssportsreport.com/?p=2062 The Bulldogs certainly aren’t trying to disguise what they want to do on offense. Over the last four games, Wilson has run the ball 217 times and attempted just 26 passes. The (9-3) Bulldogs surpassed 3,000 rushing yards for the season when they piled up 348 yards on the ground at Central York. A huge part of that running attack is Jadyn Jones. The 215-pound senior finished with 161 yards on 27 carries in the District 3-6A semifinals. Wilson got past the top-seeded Panthers 14-11. Jones told me that the offensive line wanted to run the ball more than they were earlier this season. The fifth-seeded Bulldogs have been able to wear down their opponents and control the clock. They held the ball for nearly 34 minutes against Central York. Jones believes that the work his team has done in the weight room is paying off now, and the Bulldogs are confident that they can beat anyone. I asked Jones what it would mean to win a District championship. He’s well aware that Harrisburg ended Wilson’s season in 2018 and 2019. Jones is averaging 6.6 yards per carry this year. He has 1,264 rushing yards and 13TD. Jadyn gave an injury update on his younger brother, Cam, who has been a dynamic kick returner. Cam also starts at cornerback and wide receiver. The Bulldogs battle the (11-1) Cougars at 1pm on Saturday at Severance Field.

Jadyn Jones-Wilson https://berkssportsreport.com/jadyn-jones-wilson-3/ Fri, 29 Oct 2021 22:58:00 +0000 https://berkssportsreport.com/?p=1934 Jadyn Jones was a workhorse for Wilson on a rainy night in West Lawn. The 215-pound senior rumbled for 177 yards on 30 carries against Manheim Township. The Bulldogs prevailed 21-14 to lock up their record 28th Section 1 championship in the Lancaster-Lebanon League. Wilson ran for 333 yards and held the ball for nearly 32 minutes. The Bulldogs outgained Manheim Township 386-to-208. Jones said Wilson dominated up front. He thinks the Bulldogs can win a District 3 title. We also discussed how their non-league schedule has helped them, and what’s been the difference over the second half of the season. Wilson improved to (7-3, 5-0) with its fifth consecutive win. Jones told me that it was an emotional week for the team after they learned of the death of 2012 graduate Clayton Schannauer. He passed away on Tuesday in a car accident. Schannauer was a standout OL for the Bulldogs.

Jadyn Jones-Wilson https://berkssportsreport.com/jadyn-jones-wilson-2/ Thu, 14 Oct 2021 19:31:00 +0000 https://berkssportsreport.com/?p=1834 There’s no doubt that Jadyn Jones is one of the most physical players in Section 1 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League. The 5’11, 215-pound senior is averaging 6.9 yards per carry. Despite missing two games, Jones is still the Bulldogs’ leading rusher with 470 yards and 8TD. Jones told me that he’s playing with a chip on his shoulder, and he’s not paying attention to the District 3 power rankings. Wilson is currently #9 in Class 6A. The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs. We discussed the Bulldogs’ solid corps of linebackers including Jones, Gavin Lenart, Landon Farrell, and sophomore Ryan McMillan. Wilson has won three of its last four games. The Bulldogs ran for a season-high 367 yards last week in a 59-12 rout of McCaskey. Jones talked about the improvement of their offensive line. Wilson has won a record 27 Section 1 championships in the L-L League. Jones said winning another this year would mean a lot. There are 24 seniors on the Bulldogs’ roster.

His 1-yard TD run in the second quarter gave the Bulldogs a 13-0 lead. Jadyn was very excited for his younger brother, Cam, who returned a punt 70 yards for a score just four minutes into the game. Jadyn also let me know who are the two funniest players on this year’s team.

Jadyn & Cam Jones-Wilson https://berkssportsreport.com/jadyn-cam-jones-wilson/ Wed, 25 Aug 2021 21:29:00 +0000 https://berkssportsreport.com/?p=1357 You’re about to learn a lot more about the Jones brothers from Wilson. Thanks to Jadyn and Cam for playing along while I fired questions at them. Jadyn, a senior RB and LB, rumbled for 519 yards (6.9/carry) and 6TD last season. He was named a first team RB in Section 1 of the L-L League. Jadyn has offers from Navy and Sacred Heart. Cam, a junior DB, can be used all over the field on offense. He’s also a terrific guard for the Bulldogs’ basketball team. Find out what would happen if Jadyn and Cam went 1-on-1 in hoops and at the goal line!
