The 5’11, 185-pound senior is fourth in Berks County with 748 rushing yards on just 59 carries. He’s also Hamburg’s leading receiver with 16 catches. Ruiz makes the most of his touches with 15TD. He had 94 yards on the ground and 85 receiving yards last week against Conrad Weiser. Ruiz is also a very good rugby player. I asked him if rugby is tougher than football. The three-year starter said his confidence has grown tremendously in his offensive line. Wait until you hear how many times Ruiz checks the District 3 power rankings! You’ll find out the last time that he had a haircut, and what his mom thinks about that, haha. Plus, Diohnny and I joked about his relationship with his younger brother Derek. The junior cornerback can really run!
