Alan Moyer-Conrad Weiser https://berkssportsreport.com/alan-moyer-conrad-weiser/ Tue, 31 Aug 2021 21:14:00 +0000 https://berkssportsreport.com/?p=1520 Alan Moyer has been a mainstay in Robesonia. He played RB/LB for the Scouts from 1982-‘84. Moyer was an assistant football coach for 15 years and is now in his 19th season as head coach. He holds the school record for wins with 126. Moyer has guided the Scouts to 12 winning seasons over the past 14 years. He’s one of only four head coaches in program history. Moyer was named Section 1 Coach of the Year five times. Conrad Weiser finished (6-1, 5-0) last season and qualified for the District 3-4A playoffs. The Scouts dropped their opener this season at Cocalico 36-21. Moyer said coaching is about a lot more than the X’s and O’s. He told me about some unsung heroes on this year’s team. Moyer believes more college coaches should be showing interest in senior QB Logan Klitsch. He also gave his thoughts on the upcoming merger with the Lancaster-Lebanon League.

Logan Klitsch-Conrad Weiser https://berkssportsreport.com/logan-klitsch-conrad-weiser/ Tue, 31 Aug 2021 20:32:00 +0000 https://berkssportsreport.com/?p=1515 Logan Klitsch led the county in passing yards (1,330) and TD passes (15) last season. It wasn’t a surprise that he was named the first team All-County QB and the Offensive Back of the Year in Section 2 of the Berks Football League. Klitsch is also an All-Division lacrosse and basketball player. The 6’3, 190-pound senior went 18-30 for 275 yards and a TD in the Scouts’ opener at Cocalico. He ran for 72 yards and two more touchdowns. Klitsch has 28 career TD passes; two shy of breaking Tyler Hoss’ school record. He’s just twenty passing yards shy of 3,000 for his career. Klitsch told me who his favorite NFL QB is and who he selected with his first pick in fantasy football. We also talked about the shark that he caught with teammate Nate Fizz. Plus, I asked Klitsch about his favorite classes at Conrad Weiser and if the Scouts can get back to the District 3 playoffs.
