The former Gov. Mifflin standout helped Misericordia win the Division III Baseball Championship. Maryniak started all 55 games for the Cougars and hit .345 with a .631 slugging percentage. The shortstop set a single-season school record with 70 RBI. He also got the job done on the mound. His eleven victories were the second-most in Misericordia history. On Monday, Maryniak was named the ABCA/Rawlings Division III National Player of the Year. He tied the school record with 13 homers. Maryniak added five triples and ten doubles.

In 2021, Maryniak was named the Berks County Player of the Year. He led the Mustangs to a BCIAA Championship that season. Gov. Mifflin beat rival Wilson 5-4 at FirstEnergy Stadium.
